Learnings from Today’s Event with Dr. Sharmila
First off grateful to Dr. Sharmila for taking the
time to speak and to everyone who came out. Events rarely go perfectly, and
that’s okay. What matters is how we respond, learn, and do better next time.
Here are the hiccups we noticed today, written plainly and with the aim of
improving future sessions.
A Few Glitches from Today’s Event
with Obstetrician & Gynaecologist Specialist Dr. Sharmila And What We Learned
Venue & Seating
- Several
attendees mentioned unclear seating directions. People ended up scattered,
which made it hard to maintain focus.
- Tip:
a few visible volunteers or clear numbered rows would help. You might not
realize this, but a single volunteer at the door changes the whole flow.
Presentation Files
- One
slide deck didn’t load correctly; a couple of visuals were missing. That
caused a short delay while organizers swapped to a PDF.
- Tip:
keep a secondary copy and export slides to PDF as a failsafe. It’s a small
step that prevents a pause in momentum.
Timing & Schedule
- That’s
normal when discussions get engaging, but some attendees had other
commitments and had to leave early.
- Tip:
build buffer time into the schedule and signal when sessions are wrapping
up — it helps both speakers and listeners pace themselves.
Q&A Management
- Several
great questions were left unanswered because we ran out of time. The
energy was high, but we needed better moderation to prioritize questions.
- Tip:
collect questions in advance and mix live picks with pre-submitted ones so
key topics aren’t missed.
Refreshments & Comfort
- The
refreshments ran out quicker than expected. Small oversight, but it
affects the overall experience.
- Guests
and replenish in waves.
Final thought: none of these glitches dim the value Dr.
Sharmila brought. Her clarity and warmth mattered most. Let’s keep the
constructive notes they’re not blame,
they’re a checklist. We’ll take them forward, tighten the logistics, and make
the next gathering smoother and more welcoming for everyone. See you at the
next one.
