What I Learned During the Internship
The internship was divided into weekly tasks. Here's a glimpse:
Week 1–2:
Revise HTML5 & CSS3
Understand layout techniques – Flex-box, Grid
Create responsive landing pages
Week 3–4:
UI/UX basics using Figma
Designing mockups and wireframes
Website prototyping
Week 5–6:
Convert Figma designs to real HTML/CSS code
Add interactivity using JavaScript
Work on live websites under guidance
Week 7–8:
Introduction to WordPress and themes
Build dynamic websites using Elementor
Deploy websites using GitHub Pages and Netlify
Real Client Projects:
One of the best parts? I got to work on a real client website for a local boutique. I designed a product showcase page and helped integrate a contact form. It gave me confidence and made my portfolio stand out.
Crafting Responsive Designs:
Proficient in creating adaptive web layouts that seamlessly adjust to various screen sizes and devices, ensuring consistent user experiences across desktops, tablets, and mobile platforms.
Website Performance Optimization:
Skilled in enhancing site speed through techniques like image compression, code minification, and caching strategies. Experienced in SEO best practices, including keyword integration, meta-tag optimization, and improving search engine rankings.
Core Principles of UI/UX Design:
Grounded in user-centered design methodologies, including wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. Focused on balancing aesthetics with functionality to create intuitive, accessible interfaces.
Collaborative Version Control with Git:
Adept at using Git for efficient team workflows, including branching, merging, and resolving conflicts. Experienced in platforms like GitHub/GitLab for code reviews and project tracking.
Foundations of Client Interaction:
Trained in clear communication, active listening, and managing client expectations. Capable of translating technical jargon into user-friendly language and aligning deliverables with business goals.
